She reflects on her second trimester, which is a long period of time that see has a pregnant lady experiencing a ton of changes! She talks about ongoing body image struggles, pelvic floor prehab, and the joy of those long awaited first fetal movements!

Jenna dives deep into her feelings around leaving the club, and then a few months later, letting go (temporarily) of the pole. She talks about missing life as a travelling dancer, mourning parts of her life that may very well be behind her, and how leaving the club is both a loss of income and a loss of identity. She also talks about ab separation, stepping away from teaching, training, and pole dancing all together, and how she has managed to stay connected to the pole community and navigate the complex emotions that arise from letting go of your passions, even temporarily.

Jenna picks up her story where she left it last week and talks about her first trimester experience! She revisits her last out of town booking, how it felt to leave stripping much earlier than she anticipated, and why the first trimester really is the #worsttrimester. 
She also discusses the problem with cultural norm of keeping a pregnancy secret until the second trimester, and why this secrecy can place additional burdens and increase isolation for a pregnant woman during an already vulnerable time.

In this episode, your host Jenna Ellissa introduces herself and tells the story of how she became a pole dancer, then a stripper, then eventually a mama-to-be! While thrilled to be expecting her first child, Jenna did not always dream of becoming a mom: in fact, for a long time she was dead set against it! Hear how she opened her heart and mind to the prospect of having a family in the context of one specific relationship: the one she has with her now-husband. This episode will also set the stage for what to expect from the podcast going forward, as well as why Jenna was inspired to start a podcast in the first place!
